TabTrade — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that range is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That should be a good addition when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should factor into your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
